We got back from Kyiv today. The wedding was beautiful, the city is great, and the whole week was a lot of fun. I have a lot more to say, but not until I've had a good night's sleep, and I'll finish the roadtrip photos before posting the rest from last week.

I've almost reached the end of my roadtrip photos, and with perfect timing I'm back where I started the set. Fireworks also feel appropriate because I'm about to go to Kyiv for my best friend's wedding.

I won't be posting from there, and I may just avoid the internet altogether. When I get back, there is one picture from the neck of Idaho, a handful from what is now my home state, and then I'll finally get back to using this site more like a blog and posting things that are recent.

The state tourism board is looking for photos for a new promotional campaign. They're willing to pay for a non-exclusive licence to use them, though their budget and the large number of photos they need restrict them to not being able to pay huge fees. If you're interested, go to the SayWA Flickr group to submit photos, and there's an embryonic website with some more information: what's needed, FAQs and the licence. Some time soon I'll go through my pictures and submit a dozen or so.

Our car is not exactly the best thing for off-roading, so unfortunately we could only get to the ghost town that seems to be about to get redeveloped into second homes for urbanites.
