I must confess I can't remember whether this image is the right way up or should be rotated.

Thundercloud

I remember learning about the distinctively shaped clouds that go with thunderstorms in geography classes, but I've never seen it as clearly as in Wyoming. I've also never seen such big storm clouds surrounded by beautiful clear skies. I was unable to get the whole cloud in the frame because I don't have a wide-angle lens, and once we got back in the car we wanted to keep going so as not to have to drive in it.

What the Crazy Horse memorial will look like when it's finally finished.

new photosets on flickr
I want to keep the roadtrip sequential on this photoblog, which means that any new photos are going to be blocked from it for the next few months (thanks mainly to Yellowstone). So for the time being I'm going to just link from here to new Flickr photosets:
- Mount Rainier from August
- London, from August
- Canterbury, from September
- The Ballard zombie walk from last weekend
- and finally fun with glowsticks and long exposures in Bastyr University's grounds, also from last weekend.
